PLANNING YOUR APPOINTMENT

Bringing Guests To Your Appointment

Bloom is a small studio so we kindly ask that you limit your entourage to the bride plus 3 (4 total). This ensures that your party can comfortably enjoy the studio and your selections with you.

A Curated Selection Just For You

While you are in our studio you are welcome to try on any designer selections during your allotted time. We’d love to curate a selection of gowns for you so it is helpful to make sure you have viewed our designers and noted down any dresses that have caught your eye as these are the ones we will focus on.

What To Wear/Bring Along

To protect our dresses we kindly ask that you keep makeup to a minimum and do not wear fake tan to your appointment. For the best fitting, bring along nude underwear and a pair of heels to try on with your gown as our samples can be quite long.

You are welcome to take photos during your appointment with us.

Parking and Access

Our studio has metered on-street parking nearby but this can be limited depending on the day/time as we are located in a vibrant business and shopping precinct. The closest parking garage is the Gasworks Plaza with up to 2 hours free parking and paid thereafter. It is a short stroll from our studio (5 mins). Our studio is accessible by a small number of internal stairs therefore if a person in your party is requiring assistance for access please let us know ahead of time so we can find a solution. Unfortunately our studio is not pram-friendly.

Food and Drink Nearby

We are very lucky to be located within the Newstead and James Street precinct and there are plenty of options for a drink or nibble near by to make a day of your appointment. Our neighbours Salt are our go-to for a coffee or if your in the mood, Niky or Ruby My Dear are our favourite for a cocktail or vino into the evening.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Whether this is your first bridal appointment or one of many, we want you to feel comfortable and enjoy your experience with us. Our studio vibes are as chill as the champagne on offer.

1// MADE TO ORDER

Our designers are made-to-order, meaning you will try on a sample version of the gown you like and it will be pinned/clasped to your body in studio to give you the best visual of your gown. Your stylist is on hand for advice to help you find an outfit that best fits your style, vision and budget.

2// ORDERING YOUR GOWN

If you choose a gown during your appointment our stylists will take your measurements so that your dress will be made for you and how you want it to sit/fall. Once your gown has arrived we will let you know and you can visit us again for a fitting before organising any further alterations if required.

3// LEAD TIMES & BUDGET

Please note that our designers have strict lead times for the production of your gown. It’s important to check out our designer pages to see what their current lead time is so that you know what to expect. As a general rule 8-10 months prior to your wedding day is sufficient time to order your gown. Some designers offer rush options if you’re in a pinch but this can come at an extra cost.

4// ACCESSORIES AND EXTRAS

We offer a selection of veils, headwear, jewellery, footwear and accessories to complete your look. Why not try on the whole ensemble while you’re here!

Bloom acknowledges the Turrbal People & Jagera People as the Traditional Custodians of the land where we gather each day. We pay our respects to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today and always, who have walked upon and cared for this beautiful land for thousands of years; and to their Elders both past, present and emerging.
